COMPANY HISTORY
Formglas (SEA) Sdn
Bhd is a joint venture company between Formglas Inc., Canada; TSI Holdings
Sdn Bhd, a member of TSI GROUP MALAYSIA and Framework Building Products
Pte Ltd from Singapore.
The company was incorporated in 1993 as a private limited company under
the name of Effipeak Sdn Bhd. It was changed to Formglas (SEA) Sdn Bhd to
reflect its new business activity as a manufacturer of Glassfibre
Reinforced Gypsum (GRG) and Glassfibre Reinforced Cement (GRC) and in line
with the Formglas family.
Formglas Inc., Canada, based in Toronto, Canada is today the largest custom
manufacturer of GRG in the world. Having more than 37 years of experience,
and with a team of dedicated and committed workforce consisting of Architects,
Engineers, Technicians, and Expert Craftsmen, it guarantees the customers
that all parts are engineered and manufactured to exacting requirements
as designed with product quality and installation safety in mind.
Formglas strives towards excellence and innovation has been its virtue
with continued commitment and higher emphasis in research and development
work.
Product Range
GRG products encompass a very wide range in the interior finishes market.
It is widely used in Shopping Centres, Hotels, High rise Commercial and
Institutional Buildings, Condominiums, Country Clubs and Mosques. Its
custom design elements which are either merely decorative or functional
in nature could be used in areas such as:-
* Claddings and Panelling
* Ceiling Linings and Coffers
* Bulkheads, Fascia spandrels and panels
* Columns, Fluted with Entices, Tapered or plain
* Vaults, Barrel and Cross Vaults
* Domes, including Coffered Domes
* Pilasters and Demising caps
* Medallions, Keystones
* Lintels and Archways
All these could be supplied with a smooth surface where joints are wither
taped or plastered either smooth or simply expressed where required. However,
texture surfaces are also available on request. These are then ready to
receive surface coatings, which could be a simple coat of matt emulsion
paint, textured coatings or even decorative paints and gliding works by
artists.
Our Strength
Our Experience - with more than 30 years of knowledge and
a team of dedicated staff, specially catering to Custom Designed Architectural
GRG and GRC at our Canada facility, we pride ourselves in staying ahead
of the competition with our continuous Research and Development works.
Molding Technology - the use of CAD and CAM in the development
of our master and working molds ensures that precision in obtained and
tolerance kept to a minimum. Complicated geometric designs necessitating
pattern repeats could be developed alongside linear moldings with ease.
Comprehensive
Shop Drawings - all parts are made based on detail drawings furnished
as part of our scope of works. Drawing indicate each part detail with
full dimensions and often, information on quantities, reinforcement type
and location, hanger and supporting points and information on our work
scope.
